Children's International Peace Prize winners from around the world being honored in San Francisco City Hall

Kids' voices and visions for peace

When we first started the Children's International Peace Prize with only participation within the United States, we invited kids to create artwork, music, stories, poems, songs, sculpture—anything that expressed their vision for a peaceful planet. The submissions we received were profound and coming from a place of purity and innocence as well as great simplicity and wisdom.

We honored them and continue to hear from our Peace Prize recipients who are now adults doing extraordinary things around the world.

Our next global prize is the Children's International Climate Change Prize and we will be announcing the details of this in the coming months. Right now we need volunteer leadership and facilitators of this exciting program and opportunity.

If you went on one of our Peace Missions or won a Peace Prize, or were involved with our work in some way in the past, we also have a Children As The Peacemakers Alumni page!)
(Children As the Peacemakers) has inspired me to be active also in some other fields. I was a representative of the Yugoslavia’s Environmental Protection Youth Organization, at Stewenage Camp of "Woodcraft Folk” England, for 21 days in 1988 being among the young protectors of human environment…It is natural that ever in freedom and peace, as an integral part of the law of nature. Bilafer Dean, 1986 Peace Prize Winner, Yugoslavia
