RACHEL SKIFFER, DIRECTOR
One of the first five children to go on an International Peace Mission at the height of the Cold War
When she joined Children As The Peacemakers on our first International Children's Peace Mission to Rome, Moscow and Egypt—which included delivery of letters to President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Yuri Andropov—Rachel Skiffer was just eight years old and the youngest of the group of five children. Even then she knew she wanted to be a lawyer. Rachel holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was on the Harvard Law Review, and a B.A. from Harvard-Radcliffe College. She is now Head of School of Khan Lab School, an independent school associated with Khan Academy.
